Since I just joined a new blogring, I guess I'll update my Xanga.

LSU's move-in day is on the eighteenth, less than a week from now, but since the school's so close to my home, I haven't gotten any move-in jitters yet. Needless to say, I've got only a few things ready for move in: a laptop, bedsheets, toiletries, and a portable hamper. I haven't bought all of my class books yet, and I still need notebooks, a shadelamp or two, storage crate(s), and a trashcan. Can anybody think of something else that might be useful in the dorm?

I've also got three roommates - yes, three people, crammed in one room. But I've heard it's not as bad as it sounds, since the per-person space exceeds that of double rooms. In any case, if three other people become too much to bear, I'll just run back home or live in a campus chapel with one of my friends. The library sounds like a decent-enough place to chill/live if I'm overburdened with studying, so that's the ultimate back-up plan.

I'm going to read now.

Bleh ... none of these online journaling sites is that great - xanga, for one, is fairly unreliable, and uJournal sometimes refuses to load on Internet Explorer 6.0 (though Mozilla/Netscape work fine). Maybe a LiveJournal clone site would work well ... I found one yesterday, but it'll probably be a pain in the ass to transfer the entries into a new weblog.

I think I need to go back to the mini blogs that I'd created (and deleted, lol) two months ago (editor - Microsoft Notepad) and upload them to, say, GeoCities or Angelfire. Those will always work.

If any of you was wondering, I routinely update another online journal - the link is www.ujournal.org/~omkeeezy.
